Steppe horses
The mountains and valleys are carpetted in fresh snow, the steppe horses' hooves kick it up as we trot across plains, through mountain passes and over hills. Nights are spent with nomadic country families in their ger sharing food, beds, stories, fermented mares milk and home brew vodka. They are slaughtering animals for winter food now. Herds of sheep, goats, horses and yaks roam the families' camps. I'm back in reception again...and I missed my phone in the steppes!
